Since it was established as Orangebox in 2002, the company has quickly risen to become a driving force in office design innovation, realising that the traditional office scenario is becoming obsolete as new ways of working enter into the office environment.
Our business and product range continues to grow, and following the success of our trainees recruited last year, we are now recruiting our next group of talented individuals to join our in-house Training Academy starting in January 2017. We are welcoming applications from those with a strong interest in the office furniture manufacturing industry, who have the ability to learn and develop within a supportive but busy environment.
The Role
The role will involve working towards attaining the skillset to become a highly skilled Sewing Machinist within our business.
You will be supported and coached by our in house Trainer who will help to develop your skills and learning abilities. You will also work closely with fellow trainees and other members of the Production Team to progress through our Training Academy successfully. The position will provide a positive, effective learning environment, and include regular reviews and feedback to support you at every step of the way.
The Person
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and qualities:
— A genuine interest in developing a career as a Sewing Machinist and working with a range of fabrics and products
— A good basic standard of education at GCSE level or equivalent
— Ability to work well within a team environment and build good working relationships
— Good numeracy & literacy
— High levels of manual dexterity
— Excellent attention to detail
— IT literacy
— Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
— A commitment to learning and development
